Tuesday Tweak - Faster boot-up on a dual-boot installation

Does your PC have a boot menu on startup? Perhaps because you’ve got Windows XP and Windows Vista installed side-by-side?
You can speed up your startup by shortening the length of time the boot menu appears, as follows…
- Click the “Start” logo button
- In the “Start Search” box, type “msconfig” (without the quotes) and press Enter
- In MSConfig, click the “Boot” tab
- Change the value of the “Timeout” box (I recommend a Time out value of 5 seconds)
- Click the “OK” button
This tweak will give your system startup a welcome speed boost, but if you want to select the secondary operating system, you’ll have to be quick!
